We completed the Passivhaus Consultancy for this high-performing off-grid project in rural NSW. With heat recovery ventilation (HRV), generous passive solar heat gains from northern windows, and extensive insulation through all external building surfaces, we helped this house reach the criteria for Passivhaus Premium – the top tier of Passivhaus certification (This equates to around 9 stars under the natHERS system).
Due to a large solar array and battery storage on site, this house will not only yield more than enough power to run on all year round, it will also offset its own embodied carbon (building footprint), making it a truly Net Zero House!
